I've heard about both of them, laughed at each of them, but had never experienced them. I'm speaking of two very interesting mornings in the Coffin home. Let's start with yesterday morning. Camille wakes up at her normal, way-too-early-for-me-since-Isaac-is-now-waking-up-at-4am-to-eat, 7:15am. Jason and I just laid there listening to her chatter to her toys, her feet, whatever else she was interested in. Then, it got quiet. Quiet! Maybe, just maybe, she went back to sleep. No glory. About five minutes later we hear over the monitor, "Daddy! Diaper!" As parents who are in the beginning phases of potty training, we were pleased to hear that she wanted to be changed. Jason cheerfully said, "I'll get her." Now, ever since fall has arrived, I am freezing. My feet, my hands, my nose, even though Jason says the 71 degrees we keep it at during these months is just a tad warm. So, since I am cold, I assume everyone else is too. So, when Jason brings her into our room so she can have her morning milk in bed while I desperately try to wake up, I ask her why oh why did he take off her pajamas and just leave her in her diaper! Nope. He responds with a snicker, "She has on one more article of clothing than when I found her." You guessed it readers, the child undressed herself out of footed zipper pajamas and took off her very, very poopy diaper and was holding it in her hand when Jason walked in. She must have just done it, as thankfully, there were no poop finger paintings on the wall or her sheets, or her bed. Still makes me chuckle thinking about it. You always hear those stories, well now we can be one to share it.
This morning. Well, this morning didn't make me chuckle when it happened, but now that it is over, I see why it is funny. I don't remember the name of the comedian that does a skit on "the best alarm clock in the world." If anyone has heard it, you know what I am about to say. Camille became the best alarm clock in the world at about 4am this morning. Again, over the monitor, we heard two screams and then the noise that shakes a parent's world, puking. Camille has puked before, but never out of a dead sleep, and never when we were in a dead sleep. Poor thing just hurled in her bed, and like any sane person, hated it, and let us know about it. So, Jason changed her sheets, and I changed her pajamas, and then changed her pajamas again, poor thing. We read another book and off to a pukeless sleep she went. As Jason and I were discussing how difficult it was going to be to go back to sleep, Isaac solved the problem for me. He woke up to eat. Sometimes I wish Jason had functioning mammory glands.
Ahhhh, the joys of parenthood.
So, to round out a week of crazies, I am very thankful for the following:
1. Rapid Release Extra Strength Tylenol. I caught the nasties, and there was no relief for my achy, feverish, dizzies found elsewhere.
2. No fevers in any of the kids since Sunday night.
3. Small child, small puking circumference.
4. Multiple sheets and mattress protectors.
5. Isaac's beautiful laugh. He laughs the most for Jason, and I love to see it. I think he might get a little tired of just seeing my face and Camille's face all day.
6. Isaac is propping himself up on his elbows when he is on his tummy. He looks like a little sphinx just hangin' out.
7. Strawberry bread. It's like banana bread, but with strawberries. Yummmmm!
8. Beautiful fall colors.
9. Friday. Jason being home for two days. I'm still fighting a sore throat, and really need the relief.
10. The jewelry party I am hosting on Monday and the free jewelry that I get because of it.

Solutions, Anyone?
I'm in a predicament. My kids sleep through the night, my husband snores through the night and I can't make it past 4:45am. My back is killer in the middle of the night and when I try to roll over between 4-5am, I am screwed to say it lightly. I have to get out of bed and spend the next half hour to an hour stretching and walking just to get it loosened up. I guess my body is reacting to 2 kids under two, pregnancy and otherwise. Then, Isaac wakes up around 6 or 7 to eat and I am just getting back to sleep. Yikes! How frustrating...
Anywho, all else is well.
List real quick since Camille and I are starving.
1. Working out with Jason. Just working out in general. I know eventually that will help my back as well and it just feels so darn good to be at the gym consistently again!
2. Isaac's laughter. He has such a sweet spirit and I love talking to him and listening to him.
3. Isaac's cheeks. It is absolute perfection kissing those cheeks. They just fit with his mommy's lips.
4. Camille loving her brother. I can't say enough about how blessed we are that she loves her counterpart.
5. Jason working so hard. These last few weeks have been really stressful for Jason at work, and he is working like crazy for us. I appreciate his sacrifice and his drive.
6. The two 80 degree days we had recently. There has been quite a bit of coloring with the chalk outside.
7. Talking to the hardwood floor installer yesterday (finally!). Looks like we are getting some new floors!
8. MOPS twice this week. Camille, Isaac and I were able to go to lunch with Brook and the kids and let them play. Camille is finally old enough to really get inside the playground at Carl's Jr. and do some serious playing. She had a blast and I must say so did I. I've missed those kids and their momma. We haven't been able to do that in forever.
9. My mommy friends. I had desperately needed them and God provided them as an answer to prayer. I couldn't make it without them.
10. Keri, Anna and Bo coming over in an hour. Should be fun!

Pictures, Pictures Everywhere!
I finally have some pictures for you to see. These include Isaac from about 5 weeks until this week where he is 12 weeks old. Time is flying by. All is well, he is sleeping awesome, Camille still loves him to pieces. In fact, I think that he feels sometimes that is literally happening and he needs a break from her abundant love/energy! He is in his exersaucer now and is loving it. Camille loves it too as it is in the perfect position to play with him.

My list I haven't completed in a while...
1. Our families. Lots of love there.
2. The break that I had last night going to a jewelry show. I didn't buy anything, and I know that made Jason happy, but I am hosting a show on November 20 so I can get some free stuff and that makes me happy! Anyone that would like to come, I would love having you. Hint-Hint. Wink-Wink.
3. Isaac is now old enough to go to the gym nursery. Jason and I can work out together now!
4. Camille and Isaac sleeping soundly through the night. It's nice to have 9pm until about 7am off duty, even though I'm still on call!
5. Reconnecting with old friends. They mean the world to me.
6. Fun times with Jake, Keri and family lately. Camille talks about Anna and Bo all the time.
7. Reading others' blogs.
8. Chili for lunch
9. Pictures done and ready to hang on the wall.
10. New undies from Kohl's. That may be tacky to put on here, but I am really happy about them. Ya know it's the little things....

To clear the air...
I've heard through the grapevine of concern on the link from my previous post. The "simple gifts" blog is updated on whatever schedule that blogger has and I don't have control on what is being posted. I was referring to the post on October 29, "Growing Up In Grace". I don't agree with everything Ash-the-simple-gifts-blogger is saying, nor do I disagree. I tend to believe that spanking is not wrong, however maybe overused, and that there are other options of correcting available. Jason and I are in the process of learning what works for our family.
I guess you could say our blog is also being used for posterity to show us where our family has come from, what we have gone through, and what sparked our interest when we look back months or years from now.
We love all our blog readers dearly, even if we don't know you! Have a fantastic day!
