"Aa Dun!"
Can I say poor mommy too? I got her in bed for her nap, swapped laundry, picked up the kitchen, ate my lunch (starving at 11am), and decided to lay down hoping for at least a 20 minute snoozer when what to my wondering ears should appear, but the sound of a baby waking. I’m a couple weeks into third trimester and I am as pooped as I was in the beginning of this pregnancy. I guess helping Jason with all the stuff around the house and yard hasn’t helped. For those really concerned, I never went overboard with my assistance, but I don’t sit back and watch very well either.
I’ll switch gears and move to a happy and thankful note instead of a get-it-off-my-chest rant.
1. Enjoying Church on the Move for the second week. I feel very confident with their kids program/nursery and the teaching has been great. God give us wisdom in our search.
2. Getting most of the rocks placed around our new beds in the backyard. It will take one more trailer-full of rocks, but it’s looking good! Jason has really gone above and beyond on making our backyard a nice sight to look at.
3. Seeing the new gate at the land. It is a beautiful piece of machinery and hardware that opens with the push of a button.
4. The amount of work that Dad and Robert put into that land. It pales in comparison to the amount of work most people put into their jobs.
5. The uninterrupted sleep we have had the past few nights. C may be waking up earlier than normal, but I’m hoping the continued sleep sticks around during this next round of tough teething.
6. Having Jason’s mom and stepdad in town on Saturday to watch C so that we could go out to dinner with Ace and Hether (spelled it right!) to In the Raw and see their kick-ass and somewhat freaky bomb shelter included in their recently-purchased home. It is nuts!
7. Two loud dogs. Someone down the street just had someone try to break into her house to rob her while she was home. There isn’t a mouse that could get by our two barkers. Somewhat annoying most of the time, but now peacefully reassuring.
8. Isaac’s room is painted! The crib is up as well as the changing table! The paint is a bright blue and reminds me of the crisp, clear ocean. Fitting as his room will be primary colors of Bermuda plaids and fish. Camille lives in the garden and Isaac will live in the ocean! We’re all about nature in this family.
9. Seeing C sit here beside me and eat her toes. She just plops down on her behind and picks up her feet to check out her toes. Very cute and very sweet.
10. The very in-depth conversations that Camille has with me. She is intent on telling her story which may be 1-2 minutes in length from start to finish, and she almost always ends on a laugh as if the last thing she said would crack anyone up. Who knows what she is saying, but it is very important to her and therefore very important to me. Love that girl. Even in the tough stuff she still makes me smile.

28 weeks

We have now completed two huge projects! The molding is done (think I might have mentioned that before) and the six HUGE flower beds in the backyard are completed. Just to give you an idea, we had to purchase over 200 feet of the green edging to go around all the flower beds. Camille and I were out there as much as possible, and we both worked in the dirt, but Jason, of course, did the majority of the work and he did a great job as always.

1. Projects crossed off our list!
2. Just over 2 months to go with little Isaac inside of me.
3. Camille's healing (FINALLY!) of a horrific diaper rash.
4. Jason taking over on giving C a bath at night. Just too much to try and compensate for while reaching into a tub.
5. C ate meat yesterday! Almost a whole hotdog. I think she just likes saying hotdog so it makes it okay to eat it.
6. C sleeping through the night and changing her mind about getting up at 6:45 this morning. Official wake-up time was 7:50.
7. Keri is in Tulsa and soon I will get to see Bo for the first time!
8. Talking with Keri and Becca yesterday. I just needed both conversations.
9. C took an almost 3 hour nap yesterday. That is rare and very precious as sleeping is not her favorite pastime anymore.
10. Going to the grocery store on Sunday and planning out our meals for the week. We missed going last week and we ate out waaaaayy too much. Feels good to have healthy food in my tummy again.

My weekly blog
Camille has been recovering from one of the worst diaper rashes/yeast infections turned diaper rash again that I have ever seen. Every day that we are outside she is without a diaper and peeing freely everywhere! Yesterday, in about 2 hours, she went through 7 pairs of cotton shorts with little puddles beneath her. It's gotta feel good to go commando when your business is constantly covered in a diaper.
Last Thursday, we went to see Dr. W and actually were able to have him do our appointment! He measured Isaac and as of last week, he was 2 lb. 1 oz. with the measurement of his head at one week further than the rest of him. He already has a lot of smarts in there! He is doing great, growing perfectly and my belly just keeps getting bigger and lower.
1. Two healthy kids. One on the inside, one on the outside.
2. Beautiful weather in which all three of us enjoy being outside and working on the yard.
3. Jason getting me a couple more non-maternity shirts (that I have discovered during this pregnancy that I love) for Mom's Day. Yeehaw for post-partum clothes that will fit! And a new pair of shoes.
4. Camille sleeping through the night two nights ago without pain. Let's hope tonight will start the new trend again.
5. All the molding is completed and looks magnificent!
6. My Air1 daily verses. Very encouraging.
7. Becca's willingness to put on a shower for Isaac.
8. MOPs yesterday morning. We won't get together again until September, but I am looking forward to the summer play dates in June and July.
9. My morning walks with Camille to the playground. I love the peacefulness of just us walking and the quiet of the neighborhood at that time.
10. Having Camille, Pruitt and Alyssa yesterday after MOPs and enjoying every minute of it!

Two days in a row
1. Camille's almost three hour nap today.
2. I painted my nails and toenails during her nap. I even have cute little flowers with rhinestones on my two big toes.
3. The rain that poured on us this morning. It was pelting our window so loudly and so abruptly that both Jason and I both woke up.
4. Calling Mom for advice on how to get my daughter to eat and stop throwing fits and her giving me some solid info on the food stuff. She is just going to have to realize that fits get her absolutely nowhere.
5. Brook offering in the background during the phone call to bring Camille on over to play with P and Alyssa to distract her from the tantrums.
6. C ate food at Gram's house.
7. Going to my cardio class for 1/2 hour and getting a break from it all. The teacher said it looked like I had grown a lot since class on Thursday. I'm starting to feel it by the end of the day. I look like I swallowed a beach ball and it is sitting right above my thighs! Even Brook noticed that he is sitting lower than he was.
8. Jason having dinner and a salad made when I got home and it was yummy!
9. The pretty rose from Mom's rosebush that is sitting in a glass (I didn't feel like climbing to get a real vase) on our bar.
10. Jason got one of his grades from his second semester for his grad degree at TU. His first semester, he had a 4.0, and it is looking good as one of his classes came back with another A!

Monday
Sometimes there is nothing left to say for a title except "Monday". Camille is becoming a pill in that she is starting to throw little tantrums from tething, a diaper rash and over-sleepy. That makes for long mornings and long afternoons. I know they will pass as soon as the molar finishes coming through and the other yuckies finish, but it wears me out! Jason even said today, "I don't envy you days like this" as she threw one for him after he got home.
Check out the pictures taken by Ace Cuervo of Camille at one year old:

1. Walking this morning before her nap and this evening before bedtime. It was a beautiful day.
2. Eating dinner outside. I should say, Jason and I ate dinner outside. C wanted to have nothing to do with food this evening.
3. My fantastic turkey sandwich for lunch this afternoon. I made it with peppercorn asiago dressing. It was so good, I didn't want the last bite to be over.
4. Maternity shorts.
5. A clean kitchen.
6. Reading Keri's blog and seeing new pics of baby Bo and hope for the eventual arrival of little Isaac. I want the time to fly by, but then again, it seems so much easier with him inside me.
7. The peaceful time right before bed as C and I read a book and enjoy some snuggles.
8. The warm bath I am about to take.
9. Feeling Isaac inside me.
10. Getting the pictures of Camille out on email. Sheesh it took forever.

Date Night
1. Taking a 15 minute nap on the couch this morning as Camille entertained herself by looking at her books. I woke up with Jason at 6:30 before he went fishing and only slept for another 20 minutes after he left because I was STARVING and had to peel myself out of bed so I could eat before Camille even realized there was daylight.
2. Having BBD II for brunch today with Jessica. I ate every stitch that was on my plate. Yum for the tum!
3. Ice water with the ice from the fridge that is crushed.
4. Indoor plumbing. What would life be like as a pregnant woman if I had to get dressed to go to the outhouse every time my teen-tiney little crushed bladder had to pee? It's not something you normally think about, but we should be really thankful for that.
5. The rain. Not what I want to walk through to get to a toilet, but something I appreciate for the beauty it creates in our yard.
6. Pops and Gram for watching Camille this evening. She had fun as P and Alyssa got there right after we left so I am sure she played herself silly.
7. Jason for allowing me to vent my hormonal frustration through all my tears and outbursts of a magnitude that doesn't normally happen and just getting on with our evening because he knows I'll get over it. I don't know what I would do if he didn't have his very calming and relaxing nature because I was ready to have it out.
8. In the Raw. Yummy sushi restaurant where the veggie roles and dodge rice hold me over until I get to delivery and can have an id roll with masago and crab and salmon with spicy sauce and just the right amount of wasabi in my soy sauce. My mouth is watering already and I just ate a few hours ago.
9. Having a ton in common with Jason so that as we have our very nice dinner date (I finally got over myself and realized I was completely irrational) we talk about more than just our own little family world, but all the other stuff that goes on in the real world.
10. He is still really a cutie. I'm glad we chose each other.

Wednesday
1. Going over to Pruitt and Alyssa's house to play.
2. The seemingly good transition from two naps to one. Because of the good energy burner at P and Alyssa's, she slept for 3 hours after lunch!
3. My nap during hers!
4. MOPs yesterday and the good bonding that went on at our table.
5. Eating dinner outside with Jason while Camille played. She had a blast and it was a beautiful evening.
6. Our dinner was one of our new recipes from our veggie cookbook. Yum! In case you were wondering which one we are really enjoying it is called, The Vegetarian Family Cookbook by Nava Atlas. We found it at Borders, but also get most of our books from Amazon.com because you can get them "like new" and save a few dollars. Worth it!
7. Knowing that I am healthier this pregnancy in spite of how HUGE my belly has become the last couple of weeks. I've had more than one "whoa" or "wow, you're getting big" recently and I am trying to not take them too seriously. Oh well, live and love. I guess since this will be our last planned pregnancy, I'll just take it and ignore it to the best of my ability.
8. One week and one day until we get to see Isaac on the ultrasound. I always love our glimpses into his internal existence. It's crazy that for as much as I stared at Camille's ultrasound pictures, she still has the same profile she had in utero.
9. The Lyon Family is moving back to Tulsa. I know they have been through a ton to have to have come to this decision, but I will be glad to have Keri around.
10. Reading Keri's blog yesterday and getting the scoop on her new life with two young ones.

May Day
1. A nice walk with C this morning. We went to the park and played for a bit and headed back home for her first nap. I am really enjoying all the new interactions we are having each day. She is starting to crawl up in my lap and snuggle with hugs and lots of pointing to my nose as she says, "nooooo". We haven't quite gotten the "se" on the end of the word, yet, but we're gettin' there.
2. The new vegetarian cookbook we bought last night. We have become so tired of meat, that we are looking forward to planning our week's meal incorporating some new dishes. No, we are not going full vegetarian, but doesn't a nice healthy meal with veggies and whole grains with a few legumes thrown in sound good without having a side of animal carcas on your plate? I ask that as last night we ate tiny 2 oz. hamburgers at Gary's Grill in Riverwalk Crossing. They were pretty good, but I don't think I'll be missing dead cow any time soon.
3. Hearing that the whole Lyon family is home at last. Little Bo had some jaundice stuff to take care of at the hospital, but has pulled through like a champ and getting to know his new digs.
4. The rain, the rain, the rain!! Although, I will have to admit that I was beyond stir-crazy come Saturday night and was taking it out on Jason, the rain was a pleasant and needed addition to the great state of Oklahoma.
5. Having a break from all motherly duties for a couple of hours and going to a wedding shower yesterday afternoon. On the drive back home, I felt like I needed to call someone to talk because I wasn't used to having a quiet, empty vehicle!
6. MOPs is tomorrow morning. You know I love it!
7. Two more teeth have popped through very swollen gums in little Chamomile's mouth. And, the nasty snot, drainage and cough have begun as well. But, now when I say, "Show me your teeth" she pops that mouth open and points to all her new pearlies.
8. Four days sans finger-sucking. We are utilizing clear duct tape on her two middle fingers on her right hand, and she is taking to it so much easier than I thought she would. We don't even have to have it on in the car as she doesn't even make an attempt to suck her fingers to put herself to sleep anymore while riding. I will have to say that she is making the ABSOLUTE cutest faces now like pursing her lips together in preparation for giving a big smooch, while her eyelids fade from daylight to sweet slumbering bliss. Say what you will about taking away her finger-sucking before "she is ready to at the age of five or six" but there is nothing better than having a child stable enough on her own to comfort herself or put herself to sleep without having a crutch. High expectations? You bet, and she has missed those fingers not a stitch.
9. Baked tater for lunch. Sounds yummy, I'm gonna hurry and finish.
10. 14 more weeks to the day when our little man will make his entrance if he doesn't decide to come on his own before then! Let the countdown begin.
